Consider adding these great Kamloops courses to your next golf getaway. Big Horn Golf & Country Club and the Golf Course at Sun Peaks Resort are new to Golf Kamloops. These spectacular championship courses will have you swinging in the mountains and taking in awe-inspiring city views.

Big Horn Golf & Country Club

Formerly known as Sun Rivers Golf Resort, this award-winning course was developed in 2005 by renowned architects Graham Cooke and Wayne Carlton. As a classic desert course, it delivers bent grass fairways, natural sand dunes, and gently contoured greens meander seamlessly through a tranquil community surrounded by fragrant sagebrush.

Big Horn Golf & Country Club is only located 5 minutes from downtown Kamloops and the ideal place to golf, dine and perhaps encounter some of our resident big horned sheep.

The Golf Course at Sun Peaks Resort

Located just 45 minutes northeast of Kamloops, you’ll find a one-of-a-kind BC golf destination. With greens located at 1,200 metres above sea level, the Golf Course at Sun Peaks Resort is British Columbia’s highest elevation course.

Surrounded by natural foliage and panoramic mountain views, the rewarding and sometimes challenging 18-hole par 72 Graham Cooke course weaves alongside the village at the foothills of three recognizable ski mountains – Tod, Sundance, and Morrisey.

The 6,400-yard course offers risk and reward opportunities that will appeal to every level of golfer. Bonuses of golfing at a higher elevation are that your ball flies longer and the mountain air provides relief from hotter summer temperatures; Sun Peaks is often 10 degrees cooler than nearby Kamloops.
